GAUTREAU'S WALNUT PIE
Source: Gautreau's Restaurant - New Orleans, Louisiana
1 C. sugar
1/2 C. real maple syrup
1/2 C. Karo syrup
1 pinch salt
3 eggs
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 C. walnuts, chopped
1 prepared pie shell
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and add to a pie shell. Bake for about 1 hour at 350ºF until firm. Serves 8.
